In Person Therapy
Our in-person therapy takes place in our thoughtfully designed rooms at our clinic in Mornington. Each room represents a specific part of the environment we live in earth, water and coastline, forests and bushland, mountains, and the sky. We have crafted each space intending to create a comforting and secure atmosphere allowing our clients to feel at ease and supported as they explore thinking patterns, emotional responses, somatic (bodily) sensations, and overall mental health.
Online Therapy
We provide online therapy via telehealth to cater to the needs of our clients in terms of distance, flexibility, privacy, and convenience. Our current clients have expressed a sense of ease and comfort when opting to do therapy online. Research suggests for certain individuals, the familiarity and safety of their own homes and the elimination of needing to travel to therapy contribute to increased comfort, a feeling of safety, and a greater willingness to open up during sessions.
Ecopsychotherapy
Ecotherapy, commonly referred to as therapy outdoors or ecopsychotherapy, entails conducting therapy in a natural setting. This approach involves harnessing the therapeutic potential of the natural environment. Scientifically proven benefits of spending time in nature include a reduction in depression, stress, anxiety, and mood disorders along with the enhancement of emotional well-being and regulation of the nervous system. Ecotherapy is particularly advantageous for individuals who may find traditional therapy settings less suitable, promoting presence, mindfulness, and a deeper connection with nature.
