You might work well with Ben if…

You find yourself in a period of transition or questioning — perhaps following illness, the end of a relationship, or a deeper inner shift — and are wanting space to explore meaning, purpose, or spiritual experiences in a grounded and compassionate way.

Ben is a trauma-informed integrative psychotherapist who supports people to better understand who they are and who they are becoming.

Ben recognises that many people carry old stories, beliefs, and ways of being that can obscure their innate strengths and potential. He is passionate about helping individuals uncover and appreciate their unique gifts, and to flourish in their personal mission, vocation, self-development, and relationships.

He works with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, challenges around meaning and purpose, relationship and interpersonal difficulties, grief and loss, and significant life or role transitions. Ben also supports people navigating spiritual emergence or transpersonal experiences, offering a grounded therapeutic space to explore and integrate these experiences safely.

Central to Ben’s work is the therapeutic relationship. He collaborates closely with clients to clarify the goals of therapy and shape the work together over time. His approach is characterised by patience, kindness, and compassion, creating a space that feels safe, trustworthy, and open to curiosity and exploration.

Ben’s therapeutic presence is informed by a wide range of integrative approaches, including Person-Centred, Humanistic and Existential therapies, Attachment-based work, Sensorimotor and Psychodynamic approaches, Mentalisation-Based Therapy, Metacognitive Therapy, and Ecotherapy. He also brings over twelve years of experience in earth-based ritual, rites of passage, and eco-therapeutic practices.

Alongside his interest in life stage transitions, Ben is particularly drawn to how psychotherapy can work alongside soul-centred, spiritual, and ritual-based modalities. His work supports clients to make sense of, integrate, and find meaning in transpersonal experiences, in ways that are psychologically grounded and respectful.

Ben’s integrative approach is guided by a deep commitment to the flourishing of individuals, community, and the wider ecological world.

Ben works in person at the Mornington clinic on Wednesdays, with appointments available during the day and evening. He also offers online psychotherapy by request, providing flexibility where needed.
