Carmel is a dedicated and compassionate counsellor, offering a supportive, safe, and inclusive environment where clients feel comfortable sharing their stories. As a certified NDIS provider, she brings a unique depth of care and accessibility to her practice, ensuring individuals of all backgrounds receive the support they need.
With extensive experience across various mental health settings, including not-for-profit organisations and community support services, Carmel has gained invaluable insight into the lives of some of our community’s most vulnerable individuals. She works with clients facing a range of challenges, including depression, anxiety, trauma, and grief, helping them uncover their inner strengths and empowering them to overcome obstacles and work toward fulfilling their goals and dreams.
Carmel prioritises building trust and rapport, ensuring that every client feels truly heard, understood, and supported. Listening is at the heart of her approach—she takes the time to step into her clients' world with empathy, respect, and care.
She offers in-person sessions at her Mornington rooms or online for those who prefer the flexibility of remote support. Using a trauma-informed lens, she integrates evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Solution-Focused Therapy to guide clients on their journey toward healing and well-being.
No matter the challenge, Carmel is committed to walking alongside her clients, providing the tools and support needed to navigate life’s complexities with resilience and hope.
